1. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been uploaded to FileJilla without your permission, please provide the following information in a written notice to our designated DMCA Agent:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The specific URL or location of the infringing material on FileJilla.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is unauthorized.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the information provided in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

3. Response to Takedown Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA takedown notice, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.
  • Notify the user who uploaded the material about the takedown.

4. Filing a Counter-Notice

If you believe that your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to our DMCA Agent with the following information:

  • Your full name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • A description of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to a mistake or misidentification.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and will accept service of process from the original complainant.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If they do not file a lawsuit within 10 business days, we may restore the removed material.

5. Repeat Infringers

FileJilla reserves the right to terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.

6. Good Faith Notice

FileJilla respects valid copyright claims but also encourages parties to act in good faith when filing DMCA notices. Misuse of this process may result in legal consequences.
